What Are Advantages of Bluetooth Technology?

As we know, Bluetooth is a wireless technology that enables short-range data exchange between fixed devices, mobile devices, and building personal area networks.

What are the characteristics of Bluetooth technology?

1. The size of Bluetooth module is small,it's easy to integrate.

Generally, the size of personal mobile devices is small, and the Bluetooth module embedded in it should be smaller.

2.       Low power consumption: In the state of communication connection, Bluetooth device has four working modes - active mode, sniff mode, hold mode and park mode. Active mode is a normal working state, and the other three modes are low power consumption mode.

3.       Global application: Bluetooth works in the 2.4GHz ISM frequency band, and the range of the ISM frequency band in most countries in the world is 2.4~2.4835GHz. There is no need to apply for a license to the radio resource management department of each country to use this frequency band.

4.       Bluetooth support simultaneous transmission of audio and data: Bluetooth uses circuit switching and packet switching technology to support asynchronous data channels, three-way voice channels, and channels for simultaneous transmission of asynchronous data and synchronous voice. The data rate of each voice channel is 64kbit/s, and the voice signal coding adopts pulse code modulation (PCM) or continuous variable slope delta modulation (CVSD) method. When the asymmetric channel is used to transmit data, the maximum rate is 721kbit/s, and the reverse is 57.6kbit/s; when the symmetric channel is used to transmit data, the maximum rate is 342.6kbit/s. Bluetooth has two link types: asynchronous connectionless link and synchronous connection-oriented link.

5.       Bluetooth has good anti-interference ability: There are many kinds of radio devices working in the ISM frequency band, such as household microwave ovens, wireless local area networks and Home RF products. In order to resist the interference from these devices, Bluetooth uses frequency hopping to expand the frequency spectrum of 2.402~2.48GHz is divided into 79 frequency points, and the adjacent frequency points are separated by 1MHz. After the Bluetooth device sends data at a certain frequency, it jumps to another frequency to send, and the arrangement order of the frequency is pseudo-random, the frequency changes 1600 times per second, and each frequency lasts 625us.

6.       Bluetooth can establish temporary peer-to-peer connections: it depends on the role of the Bluetooth device in the network. It can be divided into master device and slave device. The master device is a Bluetooth device that actively initiates a connection request through the networking connection. When several Bluetooth devices are connected to form a piconet, there is only one master device, and the rest are slave devices. The piconet is the most basic network form of Bluetooth. The simplest piconet is a point-to-point communication connection composed of a master device and a slave device. Through time division multiplexing technology, a Bluetooth device can keep synchronization with several non-directional piconets at the same time, while the next moment participates in another piconet.

7.       Bluetooth is a low cost technology.
